Feb 20th, 2010: Financial Aid 101 Workshop at California State University, Northridge (CSUN)!
Students will be given the information they need to apply for FAFSA on time, differentiate between good and bad loans, navigate through Financial Aid award letters and understand the terminology used by Financial Aid offices by participating in an interactive workshop with Financial Aid advisors and college counselors from the Fulfillment Fund. Students will also meet CSUN representatives from the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) a support organization for first generation and/or lower income college students. EOP provides financial, academic and social support services to eligible students to promote college success and college graduation!

March – April 2010: FREE Princeton Review SAT Preparation Course!
For the first time ever, C5 Los Angeles is offering 11th grade students a FREE SAT Prep course taught by professionals from the Princeton Review! The course starts Saturday, March 6th (9am to 1pm) at Gertz-Ressler Academy High School in Los Angeles. Classes will be held every Saturday, same place and time (except for Easter weekend). The last class will be held on April 24th, 2010. Registered students are required to attend every class; absences must be cleared ahead of time otherwise student will be dropped.

May 2010: Personal Statement Workshop
Students will work in small groups with Fulfillment Fund professionals to help create a strong and well written personal statement to supplement their college application. Check back soon for additional information about this important event!
