Gifts of Stock

C5 Los Angeles has made it very simple to transfer gifts of stock. Simply download our stock donation instructions and pass them along to your broker. It is important to notify C5 Los Angeles of your donation, as gifts made as stock transfers come to us without a name attached.

Remember C5 Los Angeles in your estate planning

There are two ways to include C5 Los Angeles in your will: add a codicil to your present will or make a new one. Charitable gifts are 100 percent deductible for estate-tax purposes and may place the taxable portion of your estate in a lower tax bracket.

What is a C5 Sponsor?  

C5 Los Angeles sponsors are generous donors who make a multi-year commitment to help a student reach their dreams of completing the program and attaining higher education.

What is a Sponsor's commitment?

We ask sponsors to sign a five-year pledge agreement for $15,000, which may be paid in advance or in yearly installments of $3,000. In return, you will receive a profile and then yearly updates on your student. If you sponsor a college scholar, you will receive a profile and an annual letter from your student.

Why is Sponsorship so important?

It is incredibly motivating for our students to know that someone special cares about them and has a personal interest in their education.

Who can become a Sponsor?

You! And anyone you know who believes that all of our youth deserve equal opportunity for education and ultimate success. In some cases, several people or a company or business may join together to sponsor a student.
