Is a graduate of LAUSD (University High School) and completed his BA at Stanford University and his MBA at The Hebrew University, Jerusalem. He also completed financial planning degrees CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) and ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) at the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pa.
I was an economist at the Central Bank of Israel, Jerusalem part of a team responsible for investing the country’s foreign reserves in the international capital markets.
I returned to LA in 1990 and entered the Life insurance business with Northwestern Mutual. During my 23 years with this company he was responsible for personal insurance production as well as management responsibilities running the Encino office as a Managing Director for 11 years.
In 2014 I joined Time Financial as a Senior Planning Specialist working with financial advisors and their clients.
I served on the Board of my local synagogue Adat Ariel in Valley Village for 3 or 4 years.
I served on the Board of the Make A Wish Foundation for Greater Los Angeles for 6 years.
I served on the Board of the Brandeis Bardin Institute in Simi Valley for 3 or 4 years. I was active in the merger and transition of that 60 year old institution and the University of Judaism, now known as The American Jewish University. This was a fascinating experience.
I have been married for 36 years to Leah. Of my three sons, 2 are graduates of LAUSD (Reseda High). I have 3 grandchildren, the oldest of which will begin LAUSD next year.
