Community Mapping Class of 2020

Community mapping is designed to build upon understanding of community space and the awareness of C5LA leaders of the multiple aspects of a community. Participants will practice identifying these variables, as well as identifying the community stakeholders. Through this exploration and assessment participants will begin to develop an awareness of their own community make-up and begin a dialogue about how to engage in one’s community.

Leaders: Please RSVP to C5LA staff by February 3, 2017. Call 323-686-4214 or RSVP by e-mail to JessicaV@c5yf.org or LouT@c5yf.org.

Step Into Success Part 2

  • Mudd Hall, University of Southern California

In their last Pathway event as C5 participants the senior Medallion class will review their college options and consider the factors in their decision-making process. They will discuss how they will go about choosing what to do in the fall and within the time leading into the fall. The day is about preparing for the near future. In line with this idea, provided for C5 parents is a session regarding how to best support their child in their transition from high school to college and adulthood. C5 graduation is coming soon so the seniors will learn what it means to be C5 alumni and what participation with the program looks like in the future.
